Without mentioning America’s jaunt into Colonialism by President William McKinley and Theodor Roosevelt or the FDR administration’s underhanded moves to get America into WW 2, American administrations have been fomenting war since the end of the second world war. Actually, hostilities didn’t cease in 1945 but continued for several years until 1948 when some grown-ups realized the disgusting Morgenthau plan was counterproductive to not only European interests but American interests also. The Germans were needed to help stop the creeping Soviet Union. When NATO was established in the late forties it was a defensive organization and a far cry from the monstrosity it has become now. America now resembles the creeping Soviet Union of the late 40s and early 50s. Irony doesn’t even begin to describe the insanity of this situation.
