Western political leaders will no longer have the power to dictate terms to Russia, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Monday. Speaking with the heads of the ministry’s regional offices, the diplomat stressed that Russia will now determine its own needs for development.
“Until recently, a couple of years ago, the external conditions that we needed for development were determined not by us, but by the Western minority,” said Lavrov. He added that all the foreign policy initiatives promoted by the so-called “golden billion” group serve the sole purpose of making sure that the world lives by rules that allow Western elites to continue their colonial policies and live at the expense of others.
“Therefore, we will no longer rely on someone when it comes to creating the external conditions for the development that we need,” Lavrov stressed, also pledging that Russia will not follow in the footsteps of the “selfish” West, and will take into account the interests of other independent states.
According to the diplomat, Moscow aims to create external conditions that are as favorable as possible for the development of the country, but stressed that these conditions must also reflect “the consensus of all independent states” and fully comply with the principles of the UN Charter, which have been “repeatedly violated by our former Western colleagues.”
Putin reveals Moscow’s main issue with US
During the meeting, Lavrov also noted that the number of countries wishing to join BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) economic blocs had increased to almost two dozen by the end of 2022. The diplomat noted that the countries wishing to join the alliances, such as Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Indonesia, Argentina, Mexico and several African nations, “play a very prominent role in their regions.”
“Just listing the names of these states already shows the failure of attempts [of the West] to isolate our country,” Lavrov observed, adding that the opposite has happened, with independent countries now uniting with other like-minded states.
The US is threatening peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait, a Chinese army spokesman said

The US forces in the region acknowledged the maneuver. “The United States will continue to fly, sail, and operate anywhere international law allows including within the Taiwan Strait,” the 7th Fleet Command said in a statement.

A US warplane’s recent flight through the Taiwan Strait is a threat to the stability of the region, a Chinese army spokesman stated, as cited by China Daily on Monday.
The P-8A Poseidon anti-submarine patrol and reconnaissance aircraft flew through the strait separating mainland China and the self-governed island of Taiwan on Monday. A Chinese Su-27 took off and monitored the American spy plane along its path. Senior Colonel Shi Yi, a spokesman for the PLA (People’s Liberation Army) Eastern Theater Command, said this maneuver “deliberately damaged the regional situation and jeopardized peace and stability” in the region. He added that the Chinese military was “on high alert to resolutely safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
The US forces in the region acknowledged the maneuver. “The United States will continue to fly, sail, and operate anywhere international law allows including within the Taiwan Strait,” the 7th Fleet Command said in a statement.
Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense confirmed that they knew of the P-8A’s flight in a short official statement on the same day, calling the situation “normal.”
Back in June 2022, the US sent a P-8A into the Taiwan strait soon after Beijing deployed 29 aircraft into Taiwan’s self-declared air defense identification zone (ADIZ). Back then, Shi similarly accused the US and Taiwan of “hyping” the maneuver up and testing China’s determination by sending American warships through the straits. Taiwanese foreign ministry spokeswoman Joanne Ou argued that the waterway was part of international waters.
In response to the US spy plane flythrough, Beijing held their own military exercises in August.
China says balloon hysteria shows US weakness
China-US relations are experiencing increased levels of tension due to the ‘spy balloon’ scandal. A Chinese high-altitude balloon crossed over the continental US in late January and early February. Beijing assured it was a weather aircraft veering off course, while the Pentagon claimed it was part of a vast surveillance network of spy airships and shot it down. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken cancelled his planned trip to China, while Beijing accused Washington of “hysteria” and an “overreaction.”
Some 10,000 to 20,000 troops comprising the Ukrainian army in Bakhmut are now trapped. Reports say that the city is operationally encircled with diminishing chance of a breakout.

The conflict in Ukraine has reached a dangerous phase. For several months, the front lines in Ukraine were relatively stable, and that was a good thing because it meant that both sides were less likely to make really desperate moves. But now Russian forces are making a major breakthrough. The Ukrainians had poured countless troops into Bakhmut in an all-out attempt to keep the city, and they were able to successfully hold it for months. But now Russian forces have almost entirely encircled Bakhmut, and once Bakhmut falls there is going to be nothing but flat terrain between the Russians and the Dnieper River. If Russian forces actually reach the Dnieper River, the Ukrainians are going to become extremely desperate, and it is likely that they may try something extremely stupid in a desperate attempt to pull western forces into the war.
It is being reported that Bakhmut is now “operationally encircled” by Russian forces, and it appears that most of the Ukrainian troops that are still there will be completely trapped…
Some 10,000 to 20,000 troops comprising the Ukrainian army in Bakhmut are now trapped. Reports say that the city is operationally encircled with diminishing chance of a breakout.
There aren’t many places to hide in Bakhmut at this point.
As you can see from this drone footage, the city has been almost entirely flattened by artillery…
That footage looks like it could have been pulled out of a post-apocalyptic disaster film.
But that really is Bakhmut.
I don’t even have sufficient words to describe how horrific the battle for Bakhmut has been.
The Ukrainians just kept pouring more men and more women into a losing cause, and one American that has been fighting on the front lines says that the average life expectancy for a Ukrainian sent to Bakhmut “is only around four hours”…
As winter weather fades and spring approaches, military experts are speculating a renewed offensive from Russian forces. Frontlines shifted to Bakhmut—a city in eastern Ukraine—in July 2022, and according to former U.S. Marine Troy Offenbecker, the scene is grisly.
Offenbecker, who is fighting in Ukraine’s International Legion comprised of foreign soldiers, told ABC News that when a Ukrainian soldier fights on the frontlines in Bakhmut, their life expectancy is only around four hours.
But this is what the foreign policy establishment in Washington D.C. wanted.
They wanted to fight to the last Ukrainian, and that is exactly what is happening.
Once Bakhmut falls, it is likely that the Ukrainians will attempt to establish a new line of defense around Kramatorsk and Seversk…
After months of predictions of Ukraine retreating from Bakhmut it appears the moment is nigh. One of the key unanswered questions is how many Ukrainian soldiers will be captured and how many will escape. Regardless, this will mark another phase for Russia in its Ukrainian campaign to demilitarize and denazify. Ukraine’s next line of defense to the west (Kramatorsk and Seversk) is problematic because it sits in low ground and will be more vulnerable to Russian artillery.
But Kramatorsk and Seversk will be much more difficult to defend than Bakhmut was.
Once the Russians are able to move on from Bakhmut, what they will find is “a lot of open country and not much to prevent a Russian advance all the way to the Dnieper River”…
To the west of Bakhmut is a lot of open country and not much to prevent a Russian advance all the way to the Dnieper River. There is no hard evidence yet that the Ukrainian army has prepared a second line of defense.
This means the way may be open for a possible major offensive by Russian forces. Whether that will happen and what Russia’s goals are remain to be seen.
This is one of the reasons why the Ukrainians were so determined to hold Bakhmut.
If Russian tanks start rolling all the way to the Dnieper River, it is going to become obvious to the entire world that Ukraine is losing.
And at that point, the Ukrainians will become very desperate.
But they just won’t roll over and give up. I expect that eventually there will be some sort of a major “event” that will be intended to force the western powers to become direct participants in the war.
Of course, U.S. officials are already pledging “unconditional support” for Ukraine, and more aid has just been announced.
The grand total that we have already given Ukraine is close to 200 billion dollars, and that figure is only going to go higher in the months ahead.
In addition, the U.S. has already taken in 271,000 Ukrainian refugees…
More than 271,000 Ukrainian refugees have been admitted to the United States since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began one year ago, according to the Department of Homeland Security, far above President Joe Biden’s stated goal of admitting 100,000.
Just over two-fifths, or more than 117,000, of those who were admitted came via the Biden administration’s “Uniting for Ukraine” program, which allows Americans to sponsor Ukrainians to prove that they will be financially supported in the U.S. DHS, which administers the program, said more than 200,000 Americans came forward as sponsors.
Sadly, this is just the beginning.
Our leaders have made it clear that this war will not end until “Russia is defeated”, and that clearly is not going to happen any time soon.
Meanwhile, our relations with China are going downhill really fast.
U.S. officials are threatening China with severe consequences if the Chinese start supplying Russia with weapons for the war in Ukraine, and CIA Director William Burns just went on “Face the Nation” and warned that China is preparing to invade Taiwan “by 2027”…
“We do know, as has been made public, that President Xi has instructed the PLA, the Chinese military leadership, to be ready by 2027 to invade Taiwan, but that doesn’t mean that he’s decided to invade in 2027 or any other year as well,” Burns told CBS’ “Face the Nation.”
The moment that China invades Taiwan, the U.S. and China will be at war.
Of course, a lot of us have been anticipating that such a conflict would arrive for many years.
We really are in the early stages of World War III, and it will eventually get far more intense than it is now.
So many people are going to needlessly die.
And when that happens, you can thank the warmongers in the Biden administration for getting us into this mess.https://www.youtube.com/embed/O7I5mrWipls

02/26/2023

It looks like the more we learn about the China-produced COVID-19 virus, the worse the news gets.
According to the largest study of its kind, contracting COVID-19 may increase the risk of developing an autoimmune disease by 43 percent in the months following the infection, Live Science reported this week.
According to Anuradhaa Subramanian, a research fellow in health informatics at the University of Birmingham, who was not involved in the study, “The impact of this study is huge — it’s the strongest evidence so far answering this question of COVID-19 and autoimmune disease risk.”
The study, which has not yet been peer-reviewed, was published on January 26 in the preprint database medRxiv.
Previous research has linked COVID-19 to an increased risk of autoimmune disease, a condition in which the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy parts of the body. However, these studies were limited to small samples and focused on specific conditions, such as autoimmune hemolytic anemia, which affects red blood cells, and Guillain-Barre syndrome, which affects nerve cells, the outlet reported.
But this new study analyzed the medical records of 640,000 people in Germany who tested positive for COVID-19 in 2020 and 1.5 million people who did not contract the virus to investigate the potential impact on the development of 30 autoimmune conditions. This is a much larger study than previous research, which focused on smaller cohorts and fewer conditions.
In order to explore the potential impact of COVID-19 on the risk of developing autoimmune conditions, researchers analyzed the health records of 640,000 individuals in Germany who had contracted the virus in 2020, as well as 1.5 million individuals who did not catch the coronavirus that year. The study examined the rate at which newly diagnosed autoimmune diseases occurred in the three to 15 months following a positive COVID-19 test, comparing these rates to those of the group that did not contract the virus. Approximately 10 percent of participants in each group had preexisting autoimmune diseases.
The study found that among those without a history of autoimmune disease, more than 15 percent of those who contracted COVID-19 developed an autoimmune condition for the first time during the follow-up period, compared to roughly 11 percent of those who did not contract the virus. In other words, the COVID-19 group had a 43 percent higher risk of developing an autoimmune disease compared to the control group. Among those with preexisting autoimmune conditions, the group that contracted COVID-19 had a 23 percent higher risk of developing an additional autoimmune disease during the follow-up period.
The research found that COVID-19 was most strongly associated with an increased risk of vasculitis, a condition that involves inflammation of the blood vessels. The group that had previously contracted the virus had a 63 percent higher rate of a specific type of vasculitis called arteritis temporalis compared to the uninfected group. Prior COVID-19 infection was also strongly linked to autoimmune-driven issues with the thyroid, psoriasis, and rheumatoid arthritis, a condition that causes joint swelling, the report continued.
“These findings just cannot be ignored,” Subramanian noted, according to Live Science. “We need to pursue research into how COVID-19 is potentially triggering autoimmunity because many people are continuing to suffer from the effects of COVID-19.”
According to the researchers, there are various hypotheses as to how COVID-19 could initiate autoimmunity, and it is possible that different mechanisms may impact different organ systems.
“Understanding how COVID-19 impacts autoimmune disease risk will help in executing the prevention measures and early treatments to prevent associated morbidity and mortality,” said Jagadeesh Bayry, a professor of biological sciences and engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad, who also wasn’t involved in the study.
Noted Live Science: “Other viral infections, including influenza, have been linked to autoimmune disease, so more research is needed to establish what effects are specific to COVID-19,” Bayry said.

Authored by Michael Snyder via TheMostImportantNews.com,
I knew exactly what would happen when China unveiled their peace plan for the conflict in Ukraine. The night before, I told my wife that western leaders would immediately dismiss it. Sadly, that is precisely what happened. Of course, any peace plan proposed by China was not going to be perfect. But for the good of humanity, our leaders should be willing to at least sit down and talk with the Russians. Because if we stay on the path that we are currently on, eventually somebody will use nuclear weapons. And once things go nuclear, we could be facing a nightmare scenario in which hundreds of millions of people die.

This is not a game.
At some point, peace talks may become impossible. So if we have an opportunity to talk now, we should grab it.
But instead, our leaders made it abundantly clear that they aren’t even interested in considering China’s peace plan…
US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, speaking on CNN, brushed off the Chinese proposal, saying it should have ended after the first bullet point, which calls for “respecting the sovereignty of all countries.”
“This war could end tomorrow, if Russia stopped attacking Ukraine and withdrew its forces,” he said.
Asked about the proposal, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said, “China doesn’t have much credibility” in light of its failure to condemn Putin’s war.
And Volodymyr Zelensky is completely rejecting the idea of ever negotiating with Vladimir Putin…
The Ukrainian president has repeatedly rejected the idea of negotiating a peace deal that would see Ukraine lose any of its territory. Speaking on Friday, he said he would not negotiate with Putin – even though he was prepared to speak to him before the war started.
“It is not the same man. There is nobody to talk to there,” he said.
I think that Zelensky would see things quite differently if he was one of the men that was being forced into the meat grinder in eastern Ukraine.
According to a former U.S. Marine that is fighting there, the “average life expectancy of a front-line soldier in eastern Ukraine is just four hours”…

“It’s been pretty bad on the ground. A lot of casualties. The life expectancy is around four hours on the front line,” American Troy Offenbecker said.
It is a really, really horrible war.
But those that are far from the front lines can afford to talk about how glorious the war is…
Just one day before the one-year anniversary of the Russian invasion, the official Twitter account for the NATO military alliance has come under criticism for a post that said Ukraine is “hosting one of the great epics of this century” and compared the war to Hollywood movies.
The post, which quoted a Ukrainian soldier named Pavlo, said: “We are Harry Potter and William Wallace, the Na’vi and Han Solo. We’re escaping from Shawshank and blowing up the Death Star. We are fighting with the Harkonnens and challenging Thanos.”
The idea of comparing the war, which has claimed thousands of lives, seen widespread destruction, and destabalised the world’s food and energy supplies, to fictional characters was quickly deried by many on the social media platform.
I would like to see leaders from both sides being forced to serve on the front lines.
If that ever happened, this war would end really quick.
Sadly, a conflict with Russia is apparently not enough, and so the Biden administration is now relentlessly provoking the Chinese.
This week, a new round of sanctions that were announced by the Biden administration actually included entities located inside China…
The White House has announced yet another package of sweeping sanctions targeting Russia on the one-year anniversary of its brutal invasion of Ukraine – with new efforts to target third countries including China for sanctions evasion.
And it is being reported that the U.S. will soon “quadruple” the number of U.S. troops in Taiwan…
The US is expected to quadruple the number of forces deployed to Taiwan in the coming months as tensions with Beijing continue to simmer.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday that the Pentagon plans to deploy between 100 and 200 troops to the self-ruled island, up from around 30 a year ago.
Service members from the Marines and the special forces have been sent to Taiwan in the past and the number has fluctuated over the years.
The Chinese consider Taiwan to be their sovereign territory.
This is something that they believe with a passion.
And so the fact that the Biden administration will be sending more U.S. troops to the island has really pissed them off…
A commentator for the Global Times, a media project of the Chinese Communist Party, issued a threat to the United States on Thursday night, intimating that China would not hesitate to engage U.S. forces stationed in Taiwan if the Chinese launched an invasion of the island nation.
Hu Xijin, formerly the editor-in-chief of the Global Times, reacted to a Wall Street Journal report about U.S. troops traveling to Taiwan by calling it “illegal” and suggesting that the Chinese would treat them as enemy combatants.
“It’s illegal for these US soldiers to go to Taiwan and Chinese mainland won’t take any responsibility for their safety,” tweeted Hu. “If we take military action when necessary, they’ll be wiped out together with the resisting Taiwan troops. They can also be eliminated first as the invading army.”
But most Americans don’t understand any of this.
Most Americans have absolutely no idea that we are literally on the verge of a war with China.
Unfortunately, such a conflict is getting a little bit closer with each passing day. In fact, we just witnessed a very alarming incident over the South China Sea…
A voice, saying it’s coming from a People’s Liberation Army (PLA) airport, crackles over the radio of the US Navy P-8 Poseidon as a CNN crew, given rare access aboard the US flight, listens in.
“American aircraft. Chinese airspace is 12 nautical miles. Not approaching any more or you bear all responsibility,” it says.
For some reason, the U.S. Navy aircraft was carrying a CNN crew, and the Chinese fighter jet got so close to them that they “could make out the red star on the tail fins and the missiles it was armed with”…
In a few minutes, a Chinese fighter jet armed with air-to-air missiles intercepts the US plane, nestling in just 500 feet off its port side.
The Chinese fighter jet was so close, the CNN crew could see the pilots turning their heads to look at them – and could make out the red star on the tail fins and the missiles it was armed with.
Why does the Biden administration see the need to endlessly provoke China at a moment like this?
It is madness.
We could easily find ourselves involved in conflicts with both Russia and China at the same time, and I have been precisely warning of such a scenario for a very long time.
Unfortunately, we have a hothead in the White House that is in an advanced stage of mental decline.
And he is surrounded by irrational warmongers such as Jake Sullivan, Antony Blinken and Victoria Nuland.
They do not want peace.
So global war is coming, and I would strongly encourage you to get prepared for such an outcome.
Continued Western support for Ukraine will lead to “a collapse” and “defeat for everyone,” Dmitry Medvedev says

The West is endangering the very existence of human civilization by threatening Moscow, former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev has claimed. Continued support for Ukraine from the US and its allies could result in a nuclear “apocalypse,” he warned.
A great achievement of the Soviet and Russian leadership in the early 1990s was that it was able to preserve the country’s nuclear potential after the collapse of the USSR, Medvedev argued in an article published in Izvestia newspaper on Monday.
The West is “delusional” if it thinks that, “after putting the Soviet Union to rest, it’ll be able to also bury modern Russia without significant problems for itself, by throwing the lives of thousands of people involved in the conflict [in Ukraine] into the furnace,” he wrote.
“Those are extremely dangerous misconceptions,” added Medvedev, who is now the deputy chair of the Russian Security Council.
Former Russian president sends warning to US
“If the issue of the very existence of Russia is raised seriously, it won’t be decided on the Ukrainian front. [It’ll be decided] together with the issue of the further existence of the entire human civilization,” he warned.
The US and its allies, who continue to pump Ukraine with weapons and prevent all attempts to restore peace talks between Moscow and Kiev, “refuse to understand that their goals are bound to lead to a total fiasco; the defeat for everyone; a collapse. An apocalypse when the former life would have to be forgotten for centuries, until the smoky debris ceases to emit radiation,” the former president said.
“Russia will not allow this to happen,” Medvedev wrote. He noted that the West and its “satellites” represent only 15% of the world’s population, while the rest of the world “is greater in numbers and a lot stronger.”
“The calm power of our great country and the credibility of its partners are the key to preserving the future for the entire world,” he concluded.

During the conflict in Ukraine, Russia warned that it was ready to use its nuclear arsenal in the event it faced an existential threat from nuclear or conventional weapons. However, Moscow denied Western claims that it was planning to deploy nuclear weapons on Ukrainian territory.
Why are people so stupid?
