US President Joe Biden ordered the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines because he was unhappy with the level of support provided by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to Ukraine in its conflict with Russia, veteran investigative journalist Seymour Hersh has claimed.
Hersh first accused Washington of destroying the key European energy route in an article released in February, and made more allegations in an interview with the China Daily newspaper published on Friday.
“The [US] president was afraid of Chancellor Scholz not wanting to put more guns and more arms [forward for Kiev]. That’s all. I don’t know whether that it was anger or punishment, but the net effect is that it cut off a major power source through Western Europe,” Hersh claimed.
Despite attempts by the US to deny its involvement in the Nord Stream attack, “Europe is in crisis now” and Biden will receive “a lot of criticism for what he did” in the coming months, the journalist argued.

Following the discovery that upwards of 30 percent of all deaths that he and his team have evaluated are linked to covid “vaccination,” Bundestag (German federal parliament) vice president Wolfgang Kubicki is calling for a full investigatory autopsy to be conducted on all deceased who died shortly after getting the needle.
All unexplained deaths that occur within 14 days post-injection need to be looked at with a fine-toothed comb, Kubicki argues. He wants all such cases to also be automatically registered as a suspected covid jab-related case with the Paul Ehrlich Institute (PEI).
Investigating a “link between vaccination, myocarditis, and death is imperative,” the Free Democratic Party (FDP) politician said.
In a speech, Kubicki referenced a recently published study by Peter Schirmacher, the chief pathologist at the Heidelberg University Clinic. That study, mentioned earlier, found that at least 30 percent of all deaths are now occurring not long after the deceased got “vaccinated” for covid.
“We are talking about a relevant number that makes it necessary to approach this problem systematically,” Kubicki said, adding that health authorities need to “regularly” conduct autopsies on all people who die within two weeks of injection.
“That also makes sense because the conditional approval of these vaccines took place under enormous time pressure,” he added. (Related: Earlier this year, German Dr. Sonja Reitz pegged covid jabs as the cause of her country’s “excess death” problem.)

If covid shots were really safe and effective as claimed, none of this would be bubbling to the surface like this. The fact that it is shows that something went seriously wrong – probably by design, based on all that we now know.
Tino Sorge, the health policy spokesman for the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU), a prominent political party, believes that the Schirmacher study should serve as a serious wake-up call to German politicians to get their butts in gear and actually investigate these things already.
“Two years after the first covid vaccination, it is high time for a more open approach to vaccination side effects and vaccination damage,” Sorge said, adding that the study itself is worrying “because it shows how little we know about the risks of the vaccines even after two years.”
Now is the time, Sorge added, to start aggressively collecting and publishing all data associated with injuries and deaths potentially caused by covid shots. To not do this is to continue putting public health at risk with experimental chemical and biological drugs.
Schirmacher himself also spoke to WELT, a German media outlet, warning that much more research is necessary to assess vaccine damage if public health is to be preserved from further devastation.
“There are important unanswered questions that should be clarified either through comprehensive registration of all undesirable effects or as part of further research in the sense of vaccination improvement, vaccination indication, and civil protection,” Schirmacher said.
“Are there any genetic factors or certain previous illnesses – for example Autoimmune diseases – that predispose to severe vaccination consequences? Vaccination consequences are vaccine-dependent – but which characteristics and components of the vaccine determine this? Do certain types of applications play a role?”
BILD, another German news outlet, likewise addressed the matter, drawing attention to the growing number of politicians who are demanding further investigations into covid jab safety.
In the comments, several readers wrote that this is more than just a “problem” – it is genocide.
“Every last criminal involved in unleashing these deadly poisons needs to hang,” one of them wrote.

The Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV) just released insurance records for 72 million Germans. The data paints a harrowing picture. Not only has the vaccine failed to save people’s lives from infection, but it’s now apparent that populations are living through a modern-day vaccine holocaust. The data was released at a press conference and live-streamed on December 12, 2020.
German insurance data points to a vaccine holocaust
In 2020, the German government set out to monitor potential vaccine injury through insurance data. The Paul Ehrlich Institute (the German equivalent of the U.S. CDC) was tasked with analyzing and publishing the insurance data, but they have failed to do so in a timely and transparent manner.
German parliamentarian Martin Sichert and data analyst Tom Lausen forced the German government to release the data to the public. The data is shocking. After the covid jabs were rolled out to Germany at the end of 2020, the number of sudden deaths more than doubled in the first quarter of 2021. The spike in excess mortality continued as the vaccine program was rolled out to the public.
Before the jab was rolled out, the average number of sudden deaths in Germany stood at approximately 6,000 per quarter. Even during the “pandemic” in 2020, excess deaths followed similar trends to 2019, hovering around 6,000 per quarter.
Now, there are roughly 14,000 sudden and unexpected deaths per quarter. Excess mortality has more than doubled in a heavily vaccinated population. Every day in Germany, roughly 88 fully vaccinated people are now dying suddenly and unexpectedly – above the pre-vaccine averages.
Professor Stefan Homburg, former Director of the Institute of Public Finance at the University of Hannover, tweeted: “Since vaccination began in early 2021, ‘sudden and unexpected’ deaths have exploded. This is shown by the new KBV data of the 72 million insured persons.”
Global life insurance industry paying out roughly 250% more after the covid jab was rolled out
The global life insurance industry detected the first signals that the population was dying off faster after the covid-19 vaccine rollout. In the first three quarters of 2021, the life insurance industry paid out $5.5 billion, which dwarfed the total payouts ($3.5 billion) for the entirety of 2020. Aegon, which conducts two-thirds of its business in the U.S., paid out $111 million in the third quarter of 2021. These claims were 258% greater than the year before, when $31 million was paid out during a deadly global pandemic.
OneAmerica insurance of Indianapolis reported a 40 percent increase in death claims in 2021, compared to pre-plandemic levels. The deaths are being recorded for working-age people between the ages of 18 and 64. “We are seeing, right now, the highest death rates we have seen in the history of this business – not just at OneAmerica,” confirmed company CEO Scott Davison. “The data is consistent across every player in that business.”
In March of 2022, Andreas Schofbeck, former CEO of health insurance conglomerate BKK/ProVitaSchofbeck, reported an unexpected jump in vaccine-related health insurance claims. Schofbeck used the BKK billing data to claim that the government was underreporting adverse events to the covid jabs. After notifying the Paul Ehrlich Institute, he was abruptly dismissed and fired.
In his letter to the PEI, Schofbeck wrote: “If these figures are extrapolated to the whole year and to the population in Germany, probably 2.5-3 million people in Germany have received medical treatment for vaccination side effects after Corona vaccination.”
This data is on par with the vaccine injury data collected by Open Vaers in the United States. Life and health insurance companies continue to raise the alarm about vaccine injury and death, but governments continue to pretend that the excess death has nothing to do with the unlawful vaccine mandates they enforced.

The German Federal Criminal Police (BKA) said on Friday that it had taken down three major darknet forums that distributed child pornography. The sites had more than a million registered users combined, making them a major hub for highly illicit content.
So far, four suspects have been arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation. Three of the suspects were detained across Germany, while the fourth was apprehended in Brazil.
One of the suspects, a 21-year-old man from the eastern German state of Saxony, is believed to be the main administrator of the now-defunct forums – ‘BoyVids 6.0’, ‘Forbidden Love’ and ‘Child Porn Market’. The sites effectively served as marketplaces for the exchange of illegal content, with ‘BoyVids 6.0’ having some 410,000 registered users at the time of its closure and the ‘Forbidden Love’ boasting nearly 850,000.

The last site was only launched back in October and did not manage to attract a sizable audience before the raid. Still, it was already offering some 120 highly graphic videos, the police said.
The bust has been hailed by German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser as “an important strike against the spread of horrific images of sexualized violence against children.”
The strike against the sites comes as a part of Berlin’s efforts to clamp down on the spread of forbidden content, which depicts sexualized abuse of children. Last year, German police shut down the ‘Boystown’ site, which was among the largest child porn platforms on the darknet, with some 400,000 users.

Once upon a time, the highly advanced nations of western Europe were the peak of human civilization. Sadly, that hasn’t been true for a very long time, and now major cities all over the European continent are becoming rotting, decaying hellholes. Everywhere you look, there is human degradation, but one country is worse than them all. Ironically, it is actually the European nation with the largest and strongest economy. Germany has openly embraced just about every form of evil that you can possibly imagine, but in this article, I want to focus on what they are doing to young women. Legalized prostitution is practiced on an industrial scale by the Germans, and this has earned them the title “the bordello of Europe”…
Germany is known as the bordello of Europe. It is a hard-won title. With more than 3,000 brothels across the country, and 500 in Berlin alone, its sex trade is worth more than £11 billion per year.
On average, approximately 1.2 million men pay for sex in Germany each day.
That means that sex is purchased in Germany approximately 438 million times a year.
But there are only about 40 million men in the entire country.
Of course, many tourists participate in the sex trade, and that helps to keep the numbers very high.
Countless numbers of young German women are pushed into this industry, and many of them have their lives completely destroyed as a result.
One recent article claims that conditions in the industry are being described as “horrific” by those that have eventually escaped it…
Germany’s “industrialised prostitution” is horrific, according to those who have survived it. The laws there give licence to pimps; they are referred to as “businessmen” and “managers” as they buy and sell desperate women. Cologne opened the world’s first drive-through brothel in 2001, and since then, more followed. There are “mega brothels” in cities such as Munich and Berlin which can accommodate around 650 punters at one time offering an “early bird” deal of a burger, beer and sex. At quiet times, some brothels offer “two for the price of one” deals, and “happy hours” with discounted rates.
Germany is supposed to be one of the most “progressive” countries in Europe.
But this practice does not lift women up.
Instead, it degrades them in some of the most horrible ways imaginable.
According to one man that is a frequent customer, once payment has been made for sex with a German prostitute “you can do anything you like to her”…
The problem is that, as one john said: “Once you’ve paid, you can do anything you like to her.” The men were asked if they were aware of violence from pimps towards the women. Many were, having seen pimps routinely commit violent acts that meet international definitions of torture. One man said: “There was one [pimp] who really beat up one of his women. With the fist two or three times in the face and thrown her against the wall.” Another reported: “When the women didn’t pay the pimp enough, they had their fingernails pulled off, or they beat the women to a pulp. The women were scared and never said anything.”
The sex buyers showed little to no empathy towards the women. “It’s like having a cup of coffee, when you’re done you throw it out,” said one. “It’s like renting an organ for 10 minutes,” said another.
The nation of Germany has become a complete and utter disgrace, and if German politicians had any decency left they would ban this industry immediately.
Of course, that will never happen.
But please don’t get the impression that Germany is a place where anything goes.
That is not true at all.
Many freedoms that we enjoy here in the United States are almost entirely banned in Germany, and that includes homeschooling.
Sadly, this goes back to the days when the Nazis first took power…
The Nazi Party viewed homeschooling as anti-nationalistic, counter to the identity of the state and a conduit to less loyal citizens. Moreover, Hitler recognized the power of state-controlled education, saying “He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future.” Our children are not tools to be used by a self-serving government. Education is too central to a good society to be controlled by mere men, for if we believe politicians are corruptible, why leave our children’s education and hence their future in their hands?
Germany’s bans on homeschooling are still enforced to this day and have resulted in several criminal prosecutions of parents, resulting in fines, removal of children from parents, and jail. Prayers to all those German families suffering such persecution.
So this is a nation where homeschooling is essentially banned but you can rape prostitutes over and over again and totally get away with it.
And this is one of our closest allies on the entire planet?
If you are a German, you should be deeply ashamed of what your nation has become.
Of course, the same thing is true for those of us that live in the United States.
Evil is rapidly growing all over the western world, and now we are beginning to reap the bitter consequences of decades of endless social decay.
But even though a lot of this evil is being exposed, hardly anyone seems to care.
So what does that say about the general population?

Germany has crossed a red line with Russia by sending arms to Ukraine, Moscow’s ambassador in Berlin said on Monday. The decision undermined decades of reconciliation since the end of World War II and the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union, the diplomat added.
“The very fact that the Ukrainian regime is being supplied with German-made lethal weapons, which are used not only against Russian military service members, but also the civilian population of Donbass, crosses the red line,” Ambassador Sergey Nechaev said in an interview with Izvestia newspaper.
He added that Berlin should have known better, “considering the moral and historic responsibility that Germany has before our people for the Nazi crimes.”
“They have crossed the Rubicon,” Nechaev stated, using an idiom for passing the point of no return.
Berlin discarded its longstanding policy of not sending weapons into zones of armed conflict to join the US and other NATO allies in providing weapons to Ukraine. The German government says it has a moral responsibility to back Kiev so it can defend itself against Russia.
Germany also joined an effort by the EU to decouple the economies of member states from Russia’s. German businesses have been relying on cheap Russian natural gas for five decades, since before the Soviet Union collapsed.
The German government “has unilaterally acted to destroy bilateral relations [with Russia] that were unique in scale and depth and had been built over decades,” the Russian ambassador noted. “In essence, the post-war reconciliation of our nations and peoples is being eroded,” Nechaev said.
According to the diplomat, economic restrictions imposed on Russia over the Ukraine conflict have resulted in a sharp increase in utility bills, a surge in consumer prices, and a decrease in real incomes in Germany. Nechaev said the “sanctions war” against Moscow is being increasingly seen as “shooting yourself in the foot” in Germany, which has already faced protests over the cost-of-living crisis. The ambassador noted that Russia took no pleasure in seeing the damage, even if Berlin has itself to blame for it.
“We believe the ongoing processes to be Germany’s domestic issue, in which we do not get involved,” he said. “And we certainly are not in the habit of delivering pompous lectures, the likes of which the West constantly makes about Russians.”
Russia sent troops into Ukraine on February 24, citing Kiev’s failure to implement the Minsk agreements, designed to give the regions of Donetsk and Lugansk special status within the Ukrainian state. The protocols, brokered by Germany and France, were first signed in 2014. Former Ukrainian president Pyotr Poroshenko has since admitted that Kiev’s main goal was to use the ceasefire to buy time and “create powerful armed forces.”
In February 2022, the Kremlin recognized the Donbass republics as independent states and demanded that Ukraine officially declare itself a neutral country that will never join any Western military bloc. Kiev insists the Russian offensive was completely unprovoked.

Germany’s government is the “stupidest” in Europe for managing to embroil itself in a full-blown “economic war” with its top energy supplier, Russia, left-wing politician Sahra Wagenknecht said on Thursday.
Speaking in the Bundestag, the former co-chair of the party Die Linke (The Left) urged an end to anti-Russian sanctions and the resignation of the country’s vice chancellor and economy minister, Robert Habeck.
While describing the ongoing conflict in Ukraine as a “crime,” Wagenknecht said the anti-Russian sanctions are “fatal” for Germany itself. With energy prices out of control, the country’s economy will soon “just be a reminder of the good old days,” the MP warned, as she urged canceling the restrictions and engaging in talks with Russia.
“We really have the stupidest government in Europe,” she told the parliament, calling for Habeck to resign.
The biggest problem is your grandiose idea of launching an unprecedented economic war against our most important energy supplier.
“The idea that we are punishing Putin by impoverishing millions of families in Germany and destroying our industry while Gazprom is making record profits – how stupid is that?” Wagenknecht wondered.
The controversial speech met quite a mixed reaction, with Wagenknecht’s remarks scoring applause in the Bundestag from MPs of polar opposite political views, including members of the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AFD). However, multiple left-wing politicians rushed to distance themselves from Wagenknecht’s statements and condemn her.
“The party’s position on sanctions against Russia was decided at the last federal party conference. There is no ‘economic war against Russia.’ Russia is at war with Ukraine,” the former co-chair of Die Linke, Bernd Riexinger, tweeted, adding that there must be “no doubt” about whom the party backs in the ongoing conflict.
Former left-wing MP Niema Movassat went even further, taking to Twitter to call for Wagenknecht to be excluded from his parliamentary group. The politician’s remarks contradict “a lot of” what the party agrees on, and she should be punished for “acting against” Die Linke, Movassat suggested.
Despite the insistence of Big Pharma and world health leaders that the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines are safe, many recorded cases confirm that they are linked to different adverse side effects. Even German officials admitted in a tweet that coronavirus vaccines produce more serious side effects than most public health officials would admit to the public.

Despite the insistence of Big Pharma and world health leaders that the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines are safe, many recorded cases confirm that they are linked to different adverse side effects. Even German officials admitted in a tweet that coronavirus vaccines produce more serious side effects than most public health officials would admit to the public.
On July 20, 2022, the German Federal Ministry of Health posted a shocking tweet where it revealed that one out of every 5,000 COVID-19 vaccines causes “serious” side effects.
Translated from German, the tweet read: “One in 5,000 people [sic] is affected by a serious side effect after a COVID-19 #vaccination. If you suspect # side effects, get medical attention and report your symptoms to @PEI_Germany.”
PEI-Germany or the Paul Ehrlich Institute (PEI) is Germany’s federal agency, medical regulatory body and research institution for vaccines and biomedicines. (Related: Germany to revive mask mandate in September despite declining COVID-19 cases.)
According to journalist Alex Berenson, this one in 5,000 figure could be “a sharp underestimate” because side effect reporting systems for drugs and vaccines are often voluntary.
The COVID vaccine safety data used by the German Federal Ministry of Health to make this announcement is derived from a PEI safety report on side effects and vaccine complications occurring between December 27, 2020, and March 31, 2022. The report revealed that the rate of serious adverse reactions was 0.2 per 1,000 doses or one in 5,000 doses of coronavirus shots – not one in 5,000 COVID-19 vaccine recipients.
This means 5,000 administered doses of COVID-19 vaccines could be given to as few as 1,250 to 1,600 people, assuming they all receive at least three to four doses of the vaccine.
CDC lists worrying side effects of COVID-19 vaccines
Meanwhile, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) webpage listed some worrying side effects of COVID-19 vaccines. Those documented so far include:
- Anaphylaxis – Anaphylaxis is a severe type of allergic reaction that can occur after any kind of vaccination. Estimates suggest there are at least five cases per one million vaccine doses administered.
- Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) – Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) is a rare disorder where the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks and damages nerve cells, causing muscle weakness and sometimes paralysis. GBS is more common among men aged 50 years and older.
- Myocarditis and pericarditis – Myocarditis and pericarditis are inflammatory heart conditions. The former refers to inflammation of the heart muscle while the latter is the inflammation of the outer lining of the heart. Most cases have been reported after people received Pfizer or Moderna mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, especially among male adolescents and young adults.
- Thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS) – Thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS) is a rare and severe adverse event that causes blood clots in large blood vessels and low platelets or blood cells that help form clots.
- Death – From December 14, 2020, through August 31, 2022, over 610 million doses of coronavirus vaccines were administered in the United States. During this time, the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) received 16,257 preliminary reports of death (0.0027 percent) among those who were vaccinated. Continued monitoring has revealed that there were nine deaths causally linked to J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccines.
The CDC also cited data from the Vaccine Safety Datalink showing that the rate of GBS within three weeks after getting the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) shot was surprisingly 21 times higher than the rate of GBS within three weeks after getting an mRNA shot from either Moderna or Pfizer.
Within 42 days of receiving the J&J vaccine, the rate of GBS was 11 times higher than Moderna or Pfizer.
Underreporting of adverse effects is also very likely given the known historical rates of underreporting to the nation’s passive vaccination safety surveillance system.

In yet another truly astonishing announcement that demonstrates the desperation of this hour, German steelmaker ArcelorMittal, one of the largest steel production facilities in Europe, has shuttered operations due to high energy prices. (See their announcement here, in German.)
“With gas and electricity prices increasing tenfold within just a few months, we are no longer competitive in a market that is 25% supplied by imports,” said CEO Reiner Blaschek.
This comes after announced closures of aluminum smelters, copper smelters, and ammonia production plants over the last few weeks. Ammonia — necessary for fertilizer — is now 70% offline in the EU.
Adding to the misery, in just the last 24 hours, Russia announced a complete ban on natural gas exports to Europe until the West’s economic sanctions are lifted. This means the Nord Stream 1 pipeline is now shuttered for the foreseeable future, since delusional NATO countries are incapable of correcting their errors and backing down from Russia.
With steel and other industrial metals also offline, one wonders how Western Europe is supposed to function over the next six months of winter:
No steel = No industry (or industry jobs)
No fertilizer = No food
No natural gas = No electricity or heat
In essence, three of the pillars that allow a modern society to function are being severely crippled by economic sanctions and sky-high energy prices across Europe.
And it’s only the first week of September. The cold weather hasn’t even arrived yet. No matter how much natural gas is already stored for the winter, Europeans are facing both sky-high costs and scarcity on a level that hasn’t been experienced since World War II.
There simply isn’t enough energy available to power European cities and heat all the buildings this winter, and there’s not enough food in the pipeline to feed everyone in 2023, either.

California’s rolling blackouts may begin today
The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting today that rolling blackouts may begin in California this evening. There’s simply not enough electricity to meet demand, so thousands of homes and businesses are going to be forcefully disconnected from the power grid. This is after the state begging electric vehicle owners to avoid charging their EVs from 4 – 9 pm. (Question: What happens if millions more Californians buy electric vehicles and plug them in?)

State officials anticipate needing 48,817 megawatts of electricity Monday, which would leave the state with a 2,000 to 4,000 megawatt deficit, according to the California Independent System Operator.
Ruh-roh. It turns out that dismantling the power grid infrastructure in order to appease left-wing greenies doesn’t keep the lights on. This must be incredibly confusing to the Leftists, given that they thought if all fossil fuels were shut down, a magical utopia would spontaneously emerge. Instead, they’ll be burning candles, cranking wind-up radios and crapping in buckets when the water towers run dry due to lack of electricity for the water pumps.

To combat the rising prices of electricity and food, Gov. Newsom has just signed a bill requiring fast food restaurants to pay as much as $22 / hour to workers. This is going to bankrupt many restaurants in California, worsening the lack of food options and job opportunities for locals. Via the WSJ:
“You can’t charge enough for food to offset what will happen from a labor perspective,” said Greg Flynn, president of Flynn Restaurant Group, which operates franchise brands in 44 states and owns 105 restaurants in California.
Mr. Flynn says he donated to Newsom’s political campaigns. It turns out you always get the tyranny you support. As long as oblivious Californians keep voting for Democrats, they’re going to continue collapsing into destitution and authoritarianism.
Where are all the people in Jackson, Mississippi crapping?
Don’t forget that the entire municipal water system has failed in Jackson, Mississippi, meaning there’s no water to flush toilets. It begs the question: Where are all the people crapping there?
If they’re crapping in the toilets, they have to hand-carry water to flush them. Where are they getting all that water?

There is no prospect of Ukraine retaking Crimea by force, as the vast majority of the local population are ethnic Russians, former German chancellor Gerhard Schroeder has claimed in an interview.
Speaking to Spain’s ABC newspaper last Saturday, Schroeder said: “the idea that President Zelensky could reconquer [Crimea] militarily makes no sense.” Schroder, who led Germany from 1998 until 2005, pointed out that it was Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev who made Crimea part of the then-Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, thinking the USSR would “last as long as the Catholic Church.”
Schroeder mentioned his own repeated condemnation of Russia’s military offensive against Ukraine, describing it as a “mistake of the Russian Government.” However, he expressed doubt as to whether distancing himself personally from Russian President Vladimir Putin “would do any good.”

“There must be concessions on both sides” if the parties in the conflict are serious about peace, the ex-chancellor insisted. However, according to Schroeder, such negotiations cannot succeed without the consent of the US as “this conflict is part of a larger geopolitical confrontation.”
The former chancellor believes Washington is anxious as it knows it is losing its global hegemony, with China being the main rival. Russia, however, is not on a par with the US economically, and is therefore not a serious competitor, Schroeder opined.
The 78-year-old veteran of German politics said that “Beijing is acting in this conflict in an extraordinarily rational way,” buying Russian oil and gas at a discount.
European nations, by contrast, might be making a big mistake by relying too much on the US, and could end up losing their autonomy.
However, there is currently no threat to the existence of the European Union in Schroeder’s eyes. He described as a “positive step” Sweden’s and Finland’s decision to join NATO.
Commenting on the deepening energy crisis in Germany, the ex-chancellor said that just like many families in the country, his is already feeling the impact. He called on the German government to launch the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which is ready to pump gas to Europe. Schroeder warned of “huge” consequences unless his advice is heeded.

Excess mortality in Germany 2020–2022 is a preprint by Christof Kuhbandner (a psychologist at Regensburg) and Matthias Reitzner (a statistician at Osnabrück) that applies sophisticated actuarial analysis to the publicly available all-cause mortality data provided by the German government. It turns out that when you account for historical mortality trends, the virus no longer looks so dangerous, and the vaccines no longer look so great.
From the abstract:
In 2020, the observed number of deaths was close to the expected number with respect to the empirical standard deviation. By contrast, in 2021, the observed number of deaths was two empirical standard deviations above the expected number. The high excess mortality in 2021 was almost entirely due to an increase in deaths in the age groups between 15 and 79 and started to accumulate only from April 2021 onwards. A similar mortality pattern was observed for stillbirths with an increase of about 11 percent in the second quarter of the year 2021.
Something must have happened in April 2021 that led to a sudden and sustained increase in mortality in the age groups below 80 years, although no such effects on mortality had been observed during the COVID-19 pandemic so far.
What happened in April 2021 was the beginning of mass vaccination across Germany.
Here’s an overview of mortality deficit or excess by age bracket:
As I’ve said many times, the first year of the German pandemic was a total nothingburger. There was no heightened mortality trend save for among the oldest groups, briefly, in December. In 2021, however, the Year of Maximum Vaccination, the authors estimate almost 32,000 excess deaths. Mortality rose across the board, especially among youngs, with those in their 40s seeing 9% more deaths than expected by their model.

Just looking at that 2021 graph, you can tell there’s something really wrong here. If it’s virus doing all this killing, why is it hardest on people aged 15 to 79? How is it leaving the oldest Germans almost entirely unscathed?
The authors also provide a month-by-month breakdown for the 15-59 age-group:
They note that “The significant excess mortality in December 2020 continues slightly in January 2021, and then is mostly compensated until March 2021. That is, by the end of March, the cumulative excess mortality was close to zero.” These are what the funeral industry would call “pull-forward” deaths. In Germany, the virus mainly kills people who are about to die anyway, such that mortality spikes are followed by counterbalancing mortality deficits.
The authors continue:
In April and May 2021, a significant increase in excess mortality is observed, followed by a decrease up to August. However … the increase in excess mortality in April and May is not compensated for. In September there is again a significant excess mortality, which increases in November and is more than doubled in December 2021.
The April increase obviously coincides with the vaccine rollout, while the Fall increase aligns fairly well with the booster campaign. It’s noteworthy that dose 2 doesn’t seem as dangerous as dose 1 or 3; and that the mortality signal is very tightly correlated with the date of vaccination. As soon as you stop vaccinating, excess deaths recede.
As for people 60 and older, there are two distinct trends: Rising mortality coinciding, again, with the mass administration of doses 1 and 3 in the 60-79 bracket, and nothing special in the 80+ bracket:
The vaccines obviously do most of their harm by inducing adverse immune reactions, and thus they’re relatively safe in the very elderly, who have weaker immune systems. This makes the oldest Germans a useful control, as they are the most sensitive to virus-associated mortality, and the least sensitive to vaccine-associated mortality. Thus, to anyone who objects that it’s really the April case spike that’s making the vaccines look bad here, or that it’s Delta causing those problems in the Fall, the reply is simple: The olds aren’t dying in April or September 2021, just the youngs. What kills mainly the youngs and spares mainly the olds? The answer is not SARS-2.
As the authors note:
The maybe most surprising fact is that [2021] produces in all age groups a significant mortality increase, which is in sharp contrast to the expectation that the vaccination should decrease the number of COVID-19 deaths. The only exception is the last age group [80+] … However, when interpreting this finding, it has to be taken into account that there was a huge mortality deficit in 2019 and until October 2020 which was compensated in November [and] December 2020 and January 2021.
It becomes very hard to doubt that the excess mortality of 2021 is vaccine-related, when you compare the relative chronology of deaths and mass vaccination:
There are also more specific mortality correlations by age bracket. Thus the authors note the “further hint” that the vaccines are implicated in these deaths, “is the fact that the age group 0–29 has a peak in the excess mortality in June 2021 instead of April 2021,” precisely when these younger cohorts were lining up for their first dose.
A final intriguing finding relates to the relationship between official Corona death numbers and excess mortality. Nobody will be surprised to learn that the SARS-2 death toll is egregiously inflated, but the age-cohort patterns are worth a look:
The official figures are most accurate for those in their 60s and 70s. For those over 80 years old, they are almost entirely meaningless. This group saw less than 20,000 excess deaths in two-and-a-half years of Corona, while their official death count is approaching 100,000.
It’s no wonder that nothing—not lockdowns, not vaccines, not masks, not all the tests in the world—can drive down all-cause mortality in Germany. Most of the people the virus kills are on the verge of dying anyway, and if you spare them a death from SARS-2, they’ll just die of something else next month.
