One comment on “A New Year’s Perspective: John Steinbeck on Good and Evil, the Necessary Contradictions of the Human Nature, and Our Grounds for Lucid Hope

  1. This irresolvable (as compared to “unsolvable) problem of good versus evil is well stated here. It is something that has occupied a large part of my life and continues to do so. I believe there is a solution but it must take place without violating the concept, or what one could even term “precept”, of duality. From best available information, our entire way of life, this universe, is predicated upon the existence of duality. What it is not predicated upon is the existence of violence and pain. These are artificial adjuncts which need eradicating. How did we inherit these horrors, and how to rid ourselves of them? Food for thought, huh?
