The Black Vault – UFOs, Conspiracies, Cover-Ups and Controversies
5-17-2022. US House Committee on Intelligence Hearing on UAP (UFOs)
“There are a number of events which don’t have an explanation, that we can’t explain.” “We aren’t aware of any adversary that can do that.”
Major takeaways:
-DOD shared two videos of UAP during the session, one of triangles (unmanned drones supposedly) and one described as a reflective, spherical object that quickly passes by the cockpit of an aircraft (unexplained).
-Representative Carson: UAP are real and unexplained, need to be investigated and mitigated. Bray states that UFO office is still open to hypotheses (implying that he’s including UFOs as extraterrestrial hypothesis).
-A director has been picked for the UFO investigation office, but not named
-Database of UAPs reported by government employees has gone from 144 reports as of last year to 400 currently
-Some UAPs seem to break the laws of physics, advanced tech, stopping in air, moving up and down without discernable means of propulsion.
-UAP are not just one thing. There are multiple objects that are each distinct
-Topic framed as potential national security threat
-US govt culture is changing in that people may now report sightings and encounters without fear or ridicule
-Updating UAP reporting as mission imperative: data collection abilities to measure, track, analyze, standardize information. Calibrating tracking systems to follow and keep up with objects of such high velocity and ability
-Navy and Airforce now have protocol for reporting UAP
-We are sharing data with allies
-China has set up its own UFO investigative arm
-Three videos released by government previously all remain unexplained
-25,000 people streamed the event on the official web page
-Truly bipartisan event
Commentary:
-Although they didn’t come straight out and say UFOs are alien tech, they did say that they don’t think it’s our enemies, so that would leave few possibilities: US secret black budget govt tech, corporate/private entity tech, paranormal.
-the idea that UFO’s are a national security threat can be looked at in two ways. 1. They have to justify spending money and manpower on studying paranormal phenomena. 2. This could be part of a psyop, painting UFO’s as dangerous, as enemies. I would say what the majority of paranormal investigators say to that: if they were a threat, we would have long ago found out because the phenomena arguably go back thousands of years.
-in one year, there were about 250 encounters with UAP reported by govt employees now that the stigma has been lifted.
